A NOTE TO HELP ROCK YOU TO SLEEP

 

Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.


Dear working professional,

If your body is your temple, why do you chose to “push through” a cold or mild body pain instead of honoring it? Why do you put such little value on sleep? And why are we seen as super workers when pulling all-nighters instead of going to bed early and waking to start the day fresh?

I was never good with late-night homework assignments or evening workouts. My body just doesn’t like to be stressed that way in the evening. I was, and still am, good at making an evening to do list and getting a good night’s rest. I knew after I slept I would accomplish my goals.

Does that mean I value sleep more than most? I don’t think so. I believe this was just a habit I developed as a child.`

I don’t consider myself a sleep expert, because I still have nights where I find it hard to catch some quality zzz’s. (As I’m sure you, a busy working professional, do too.)...
